Rachael Peake, the owner of Capital Cellars on Main Street in Frankfort said that she wants her restaurant to be a safe space for people to meet and work at and not be harassed or bullied.
Down the block from Capital Cellars, there is Kentucky Coffee Tree Café. It is also a sanctuary restaurant.
“We are open to everybody, no matter race, religion, political views, etc,” said Kentucky Coffee Tree Café’s assistant manager Leah Childs.
